Our current game in development is called Lapidary Legends. The game pits players against each other to see who can cut the most beautiful gem earning points for each cut made.
This idea came when thinking about how there really aren’t any tile removing games but there are plenty tile laying games. One day while playing Carcasonne we mused about the tiles being something other than square, what about hexagons or triangles? Later that day we played around with how those shapes would fit together and realized the design looked like a cut gemstone and the rest as they say, is history.
