Update 7 - Quotes and New Game

First, update on Lapidary Legends

1. We have been working on a solo mode where you go up against Brin Doda to see if you can beat her at cutting a gem. There is some success here and the idea is to potentially have this be an unlockable stretch goal on kickstarter, but we don't want it to feel tacked on, we want it to be a fun and challenging mode. Right now she will start with more money, buys the most expensive card available except transfers without using her money. She gains more money when she cuts her gem even though she doesn't actually cut it. At the end of the eight rounds her points come from money, polish cards she has and index gear cards she has. This makes it so you are not having to physically cut two gemstones and right now it is a pretty big challenge to beat her.

2. We continue the process of getting quotes for components to gauge where our Kickstarter target needs to be. We toured the injection molder and think we will have a great partnership with them when we are ready. We think we can do the facet tiles ourselves as well as the Active Facet Markers. We have some strong quotes on cards, rulebook and a box. This has led us to thinking that for our Kickstarter to be successful we will need at least 500 backers so please help us grow the Grove, tell all your friends and family!

We are trying to find where we can get some small gems that can serve as the coins direct from the manufacturer. You have seen these on our socials but I will include an image here as well.

3. We are still testing some changes to the rules for 2 players to make it feel longer with better decisions.

4. You may have already seen this on our socials as well but we finished some rulebook artwork of Brin Doda.

5. We also completed a new banner artwork for our socials and website.

4. Since we think in order to be successful we will need to have 500 backers. We need to ask for your help. Tell everyone you can about the game and send them to Pineappletreegames.com to sign up for the newsletter and to be there to back us when we go live hopefully early next year.

Next, update is on our currently unnamed worker placement game

We realize you may not know what this game is about so here is a quick description:

In the city of Neavine where Brin Doda lives and operates the Stunning Globe there is a large mechanical and magical pump that holds the ocean water at bay where the city is built into the sea bed. The pump is breaking and struggling to keep the city safe from the ocean water. You and the other players must work together to keep the city running while at the same time working to gain your own renown and be the most influential person in the city. The city likely will fall but will you come out on top with the most renown and be the victor of the game? It is a semi co-op worker placement game. You will need to make sure the Magic and Mechanical parts of the pump are working well, while you also fight off attacking sea creatures like Merfolk. You will need to also keep the citizens' morale high and be careful doing corrupt things to earn more renown. Zones where you place workers can flood making them unusable, and each round a crisis will happen that you will need to band together to deal with.

We would love your thoughts and feedback on this new and exciting game from PineAppleTree Games

1. We had another successful playtest which revealed a few issues with the morale and corruption systems so we will continue working on that part of the game.

2. We also made changes to the upgrade cards making them easier to use/understand as well as be a little more powerful.

3. We made changes to the Crisis cards that happen at the end of the rounds to make them more impactful and a larger challenge for players to come together to try and fix.

Thank you for your support and please continue to help us grow our audience and presence as we move closer to a Lapidary Legends Kickstarter launch!
